Who We Serve

Estimators

Pricing geotechnical drilling scope is harder than it looks. JDC's estimating team has been doing it since 1966, and we'll talk straight on what the work will actually cost.

NO BID-DAY SURPRISES

Estimators on the prime side know what a bid bust looks like — a subcontractor’s rosy production rate baked into a schedule that promptly slips, or a clarification surfaced after award that puts the change-order conversation on day three. JDC’s estimating culture is built around not being that subcontractor.

When we price horizontal drain footage, the rate reflects the formations we actually expect to drill — including the slowdowns. When we price tieback installation, the schedule accounts for grouting cure time and stressing windows. When access conditions affect rig mobilization, we say so during your bid period, with enough detail for you to verify against the geotechnical report.

Two senior estimators — Casey Cooper and John Starcevich — handle that work on our side. Both have spent careers in geotechnical drilling pricing and field execution. They’re reachable directly during bid windows, and they’ll give you the candid read on whether the schedule the prime is asking for is achievable in our scope.

WHAT ESTIMATORS GET

  • Realistic production rates grounded in JDC's actual field history — not bid-optimistic numbers
  • Honest equipment availability windows so your schedule doesn't collapse on day one
  • Pre-bid technical clarifications surfaced during your bid period, not after award
  • Two senior estimators on staff — Casey Cooper and John Starcevich — who’ve done this for decades
