Who We Serve

Engineers

The designers whose drawings we drill to. JDC takes the design intent seriously — and shows the work in the install record.

DRILLING THAT RESPECTS THE DESIGN

Engineering a geotechnical fix is the hard part. JDC’s job is to make sure that design lands in the ground the way you drew it — to the tolerance you specified, with the materials you called out, in the sequence the calculations assumed. We’re a bid-build drilling contractor by trade, which means our value to you is execution discipline, not redesign.

Where we add value early is constructability. If your tieback layout calls for rig positioning we can’t reach, or your drain angle exceeds what the formation will sustain without casing, the time to flag it is before the package goes out — not in week three of a stoppage. JDC’s estimating team has fielded that kind of review for engineering firms across the US and Canada since 1966.

Once we’re in the ground, the install record is where engineering verification happens. Load cells on tieback anchors, dyna-force monitoring on critical strands, piezometer placement coordinated with the dewatering design, weir monitoring on horizontal drain discharge — JDC documents the work so your design intent gets verified, not assumed.

WHAT ENGINEERS GET

  • Constructability review during design — JDC will flag rig access, formation issues, or tolerance challenges before they become RFIs
  • 0.2% drilling accuracy demonstrated on 100-foot anchors at 3-foot centers
  • Installation instrumentation (load cells, dyna-force sensors, piezometers) so design intent can be verified against field performance
  • Direct technical conversation with field leadership, not a relayed phone tree
